Cardiff University School of Biosciences has recently invested in the upgrade of Bioimaging hub lab space. The enhancements include new floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains, air conditioning, hand wash facilities, and a new 16A, 230V 2P+E power circuit. These upgrades add to other recent estate improvements (dimmable LED lighting, updated mains and internet sockets and high speed wifi 6) paving the way for installation of our new BBSRC-ALERT-funded Zeiss LSM990 confocal microscope with Lightfield technology in early 2027. Additional room modifications, including reconfiguration of microscope benching, installation of cable access ports and gas lines, filling and decorating, completed by yours truly : )
