Fluorescence Microscopy

What is fluorescence microscopy and how can it help me in my research?

Fluorescence microscopy is an optical imaging technique that uses fluorescence and phosphorescence instead of, or in addition to, reflection and absorption to study the properties of organic or inorganic substances. It is commonly used to detect the presence of fluorochromes that have been used to selectively contrast biological samples.
