Alumni rugby event, SWALEC Stadium, Saturday 19 March 2016

We were delighted to welcome back over 150 alumni and their guests to Cardiff recently, who joined us at our showcase event at the Glamorgan Cricket Club, SWALEC Stadium, on the day Wales played Italy in their final round of the 6 Nations tournament!

Guests enjoyed live music by members of the University’s Big Band, and enjoyed the many hands-on science and engagement activities on show during the afternoon. Not to be missed was the amazing rendition of the Welsh national anthem, sung by Cardiff University Music Student, Lewis Ham.

The event culminated in the screening of the Wales v Italy match live, where guests took in the atmosphere of the occasion with friends, family and of course our mascot, Dylan the Dragon! With a winning result for Wales, this was an occasion to remember, and one we will build on in the future.
