Role: Student Experience Executive Officer – joined January 2017
What is your role in the CESI team?
I work on lots of different projects to aim to improve the student experience such as Online Orientation, Student Voice, Generic Student Handbook, Partnership Projects to name a few. The project I have most enjoyed is leading the Student Champion system. We work with a group of amazing students who help provide student views and insight into university projects. This is one of the great ways at Cardiff that we have students as partners having them work with staff to shape the way the university works, the resources we produce, and the experience students have. This is very rewarding, and our Champs are all incredible. I have worked closely with Lily, Charis, Marianna, Maks and Ellie to improve this system over the past year putting in place processes and procedures to make sure the project runs smoothly. I have taken great joy in project managing this work and look forward to future developments. I also enjoy using what I learnt on my Prince2 qualification to assess how our systems can be improved and implement more streamline and efficient processes.
Describe a project you have been involved that you have enjoyed
I helped to develop the Online Orientation module for new students with Student Support and Wellbeing, involving students in the creation of the course content and helping work towards improving the student transition.

Beth yw eich rôl yn nhîm CCAA?
Rwy’n gweithio ar lawer o wahanol brosiectau i geisio gwella profiad myfyrwyr fel Cyfeiriadedd Ar-lein, Llais Myfyrwyr, Llawlyfr Myfyrwyr Generig a Phrosiectau Partneriaeth i enwi ond ychydig. Y prosiect rydw i wedi’i fwynhau fwyaf yw arwain y system Hyrwyddwr Myfyrwyr. Rydym yn gweithio gyda grŵp o fyfyrwyr anhygoel sy’n helpu i ddarparu barn a mewnwelediad myfyrwyr i brosiectau prifysgol. Dyma un o’r ffyrdd gwych yng Nghaerdydd rydym yn gweld myfyrwyr fel partneriaid drwy eu cael i weithio gyda staff i lunio’r ffordd y mae’r brifysgol yn gweithio, yr adnoddau rydyn ni’n eu cynhyrchu, a’r profiad sydd gan fyfyrwyr. Mae hyn yn rhoi llawer o foddhad, ac mae ein Hyrwyddwyr i gyd yn anhygoel. Rwyf wedi gweithio’n agos gyda Lily, Charis, Marianna, Maks ac Ellie i wella’r system hon dros y flwyddyn ddiwethaf gan roi prosesau a gweithdrefnau ar waith i sicrhau bod y prosiect yn rhedeg yn esmwyth. Rwyf wedi cymryd mwynhad mawr wrth reoli’r gwaith hwn ac rwy’n edrych ymlaen at ddatblygiadau yn y dyfodol. Rwyf hefyd yn mwynhau defnyddio’r hyn a ddysgais ar fy nghymhwyster Prince2 i asesu sut y gellir gwella ein systemau a gweithredu prosesau symlach ac effeithlon.
