Role at the University:
Head of Education Support and Innovation (I started work in the University in 2008, and was School Manager in the School of Geography and Planning for ten years)

What is your role in the Digital Education Programme?
Lead for the Digital Education Programme. Alongside Simon Horrocks, the Digital Education Strategy Academic Lead, and Tony Lancaster of the Programme Management Office, I took the lead on the Programme of work a few weeks into Lockdown.

Why did you want to be part of the Dig Ed Programme?
I had been leading a programme within Transforming Cardiff, and having established the Design Principles, I was keen to put these into action in support of our response to the COVID crisis.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the programme?
The most important of the Design Principles for me relates to co-creating services and solutions with the University community; academic staff, professional services staff and students. We had a huge response from the community when we asked for volunteers to help deliver the programme, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the group…even the huge 150+ Zoom meetings.

A fact about yourself?
I moved house to a small ‘hobby farm’ in 2018, as I am a bit obsessed with animals. We have Llanwenog sheep which I lambed for the second time this year, alpacas, chickens, bantams, ducks, geese, cats and guinea pigs. It’s hard work but great for stress management, particularly in these difficult times.

Arweinydd ar gyfer y Rhaglen Addysg Ddigidol. Ochr yn ochr â Simon Horrocks, Arweinydd Academaidd y Strategaeth Addysg Ddigidol, a Tony Lancaster o’r Swyddfa Rheoli Rhaglenni, dechreuais arwain ar y Rhaglen waith ychydig wythnosau i fod dan y cyfyngiadau.

Pam oeddech chi am fod yn rhan o’r Rhaglen Addysg Ddigidol? Roeddwn wedi bod yn arwain rhaglen o fewn Trawsnewid Caerdydd, ac ar ôl sefydlu’r Egwyddorion Dylunio, roeddwn yn awyddus i roi’r rhain ar waith i gefnogi ein hymateb i argyfwng COVID.

Beth ydych chi’n ei fwynhau fwyaf am fod yn rhan o’r rhaglen?
Mae’r pwysicaf o’r Egwyddorion Dylunio i mi yn ymwneud â chyd-greu gwasanaethau ac atebion gyda chymuned y Brifysgol; staff academaidd, staff gwasanaethau proffesiynol a myfyrwyr. Cawsom ymateb enfawr gan y gymuned pan ofynasom am wirfoddolwyr i helpu i gyflwyno’r rhaglen, ac rwyf wedi mwynhau gweithio gyda’r grŵp yn fawr … hyd yn oed y cyfarfodydd Zoom enfawr gyda 150+.

Ffaith amdanoch chi’ch hun?
Symudais i dŷ fferm bach y llynedd, gan fy mod wedi gwirioni’n llwyr gydag anifeiliaid. Mae gennym ieir, ceiliogod, hwyaid, gwyddau, cathod, moch cwta a defaid Llanwenog. Fe wnes i wyna’r defaid am y tro cyntaf eleni. Mae gennym adar paun hefyd, ond anaml y byddwn yn eu gweld. Mae’n waith caled ond yn wych ar gyfer rheoli straen.
