Meet Kat Harris, our Administration Officer

Kat Harris, Administration Officer in the Projects and Operations team tells us about her role and projects she’s working on within the Learning and Teaching Academy.

What does your role involve and how long have you been in the role? 

I joined the Learning and Teaching Academy in January this year. My role sits within the LT Academy’s Projects and Operations team.  

The focus of my role is to support the On-Campus Internships scheme (the Learning and Teaching and Research strands) and the Education Innovation Fund. 

What projects/tasks are you currently working on within your role? 

This year’s Summer Internships are coming to an end, and I’m currently planning for the On-Campus Internship Poster Exhibition, which takes place in November, and preparing for the 2024 On-Campus Internships call cycle.  

Tell us about your career history 

Before joining Cardiff University I worked in various roles for South Wales Police and Bridgend County Borough Council.  

What do you do in your spare time? 

In my spare time you’ll find me out exploring South Wales with my two dogs. I also enjoy trying new restaurants, and I’m always on the hunt for a good cup of coffee!
