19 February 2015

Once the deadline has passed for a Turnitin assignment, it’s time to look at your students’ submissions.  This narrated screencast shows you how to access the submitted papers, and how to interpret originality reports (if required), plus key things to look out for when assessing for plagiarism.

How to use Turnitin – Accessing assignments and originality reports (for staff) from Cardiff University CESI on Vimeo.

A text guide on how to access Turnitin Assignments and Originality Reports can be found here.

Please note: as highlighted in the video, Turnitin Originality Reports should be used only as a guide or indicator of possible academic malpractice and not as a clear definition of plagiarism.
