25 January 2021Role: Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Branch Officer – joined University about 10 years ago
What is your role in the CESI team?
As a Coleg Branch officer, I am the main contact point between the Coleg Cymraeg and the University on various projects and schemes to develop our Welsh medium academic provision, from applying for Grants, UG and Research Scholarships, to promotional work, Student Engagement, curriculum design and data collecting. Being part of CESI allows us to make the Welsh language central to all its work.
Describe a project you have been involved that you have enjoyed
I worked with a CUSEIP student to develop an animated video raising awareness of the bilingual aspect of Cardiff University. This was very successful and has been widely circulated.
A fact about yourself?
A keen hiker, who’s walked the circumference of Wales, up Offa’s Dyke and down the coast.
