Embedding a Padlet Board Into an Ultra Document
3 October 2024This blog is written by Heather Pennington, Lecturer, Mentor, and Assessor within the AdvanceHE-accredited Education Fellowship Programme at Cardiff University’s Learning and Teaching Academy.
Embedding Padlet into Learning Central (Blackboard Ultra) has been a game-changer for my courses. It allows students to easily access the Padlet resource with minimal disruption to the flow of the session and without a need for them to look outside of the familiar learning central module documents. It has been beneficial for embedding opportunities for real-time, interaction where students can post ideas, questions, and responses. This interactive element fosters a sense of community and collaboration, increasing students’ engagement with the course material. Additionally, the visual and interactive nature of Padlet helps cater to different learning styles, making the content more accessible. Overall, it has significantly enhanced student participation and engagement.
