Climate Change and Flooding Risk on the Core Valleys Network of TfW
– Design of an Operational Flood Warning System

Built on the pilot study, this project is to develop an operational decision support system for TfW to fully assess the vulnerability and flood risk on Cardiff Core Valley Lines (CVLs) strategically under the changing climate, including the following Work Packages (WPs):

• Climate change and the impacts
• Field measurements/monitoring
• Hydraulic modelling
• Flood risk assessment
• Operational warning/decision support system

Project Duration: June 2026 – June 2029
