We’ve very excited to announce the Presenter Network has a new hub in South Wales run from the Cardiff University School of Physics and Astronomy.

Whether you’re looking to hone your craft, discover new techniques or are brand-new to the field, if you’re a presenter of any sort based in South Wales, this hub is for you.

We’ll be running regular meet-ups in collaboration with specialists to cover every aspect of presenting, from engaging with audiences online to using comedy effectively, and everything in between.

In future, these events will take place at locations around Cardiff, but for now our sessions will take place online, with our first event ‘Presenting 101’ taking place on 12th August, 3-5pm.

To join the South Wales Presenter Network hub and attend our first session, click the button below:

Please feel free share this event with anyone you think could benefit from joining the Presenter Network.

If you have questions please don’t hesitate to get in contact with the hub leader, Sarah Eve Roberts (robertsS38@cardiff.ac.uk).

Frequently asked questions:
  1. Who is this event for?  This network is created by presenters, for presenters so whether you are just starting out or want to freshen up your skills there will always be plenty to suit.  If you are not actively involved in presenting then I am afraid this is not the network for you.
  2. How much does it cost?  This event is FREE – yes you read that right – FREE!  This group operates purely on the good will of our members.  All meet-ups leaders, speakers and workshops facilitators are offering their time and experience for free which we are very grateful for.
  3. What is the capacity? We would love to open it up to any presenters that would like to come along but to make sure we can all dig our teeth into the discussions, we have to limit the number of participants to ~20.
  4. Where and when is this event?  In future, we hope to be able to run events in-person at venues around Cardiff, but for the moment we’re limited to online meeting and Zoom is our platform of choice.
