About History@Cardiff

Welcome to History@Cardiff, the blog site for the History department at Cardiff University.

Our aim is to publish engaging and accessible articles that showcase the exciting range of work (archival, historiographical, and community-based) within the department, and that reflect on contemporary issues facing our discipline and deepen public understandings of the past. Our blog will feature creative and innovative research in progress, offer news about our latest publications, and provide announcements and updates on events at Cardiff. We will also profile learning and engagement projects.

Audience & Community
Our community includes early career academics, more senior scholars, and postgraduate researchers, as well as our partners and our students. Our blog seeks to be diverse and inclusive. We support not only an appreciation for the study of marginalised voices and experiences but also strive to create a environment that is welcoming and respectful of all, regardless of gender, race, LGBTQ+ identity, religious or political belief, or background.
