The Launch of CILM

3 April 2024

On Wednesday 17th April 2024 the Centre for International Law and Multilateralism (CILM) will host a launch event for members and guests. The overarching theme of the event is:

‘Challenges to the rules-based international order in the twenty-first century’.


CILM is delighted to announce the following guest speakers:

Ffion Thomas

Deputy Director International Relations & Overseas Network at Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Goverment, UK.

Miguel Bautista

Secretary of the Trade and Development Board. Director of Intergovernmental Outreach and Support United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr Scarlett McArdle

Assistant Professor in International Law, School of Law, Faculty of Social Science Nottingham, UK.

Ffion Thomas will open the event with comments offer comments on Wales’ international relations and strategy. A panel discussion will follow where Miguel Bautista and Dr Scarlett McArdle will consider the overarching theme of how to address the challenges to the rules-based international order in the twenty-first century. A networking reception will conclude the event.
