CBI Wales Annual Dinner4 December 2014
The CBI Wales Dinner is an important annual event in the calendar, as part of the ongoing engagement with business organisations in Wales. As usual, I hosted a table at this year’s gathering, which took place in City Hall, on 4th December. The dinner attracts Wales’ business leaders, ministers and the media and it is an occasion for celebrating business in Wales. This year it attracted over 400 guests. Industry partners were invited, representing the breadth of organisations that we are interacting with through the Innovation System, along with representation from the Welsh Government Department of Innovation. The programme included a keynote speech delivered by John Cridland, CBE Director-general of the CBI, followed by speeches from Carwyn Jones, the First Minister of Wales, and Stephen Crabb, Secretary of State for Wales, demonstrating the value of business, academia and civic society coming together.
