Second-hand Policy Workshop Scoping Survey

Help us design a workshop on policy change in second-hand that would work for you!

We are planning a workshop series on how to effect policy change around issues in the second-hand economy, and want to hear from you about what you would like these workshops to offer.

This workshop is part of a larger impact project funded by an ESRC-IAA impact award at Cardiff University called ‘Tools for Sustainment in Second-hand Economies’.

The project aims to promote sustainability and equity in the second-hand economy through networking, knowledge-exchange, and skill sharing.

Our aim:

to build skills and knowledge for how to effect community and/or systemic change – here, through policy change – around challenges in the second-hand economy, such as around waste and reuse, repair, community welfare, and labour in second-hand spaces.

The policy workshops will be produced in collaboration with Fashion Roundtable, who have expertise in policy change and campaigning.

Who will this workshop be for:

practitioners, community organisations, activists, artists and researchers involved in second-hand economies in any way. We have heard from many in our network already that more support and knowledge of processes and good practice around policy change would be welcome.

If you would be interested in being a part of a workshop series on policy change in this area, we would like to hear from you through a 5 min survey to tell us the format and content that would be most useful to you.

Please email Alida at paysonAB@cardiff.ac.uk if you have any questions or follow up ideas.

Thank you!
