Running inclusive meetings

In our last DiSTEM event on 26th April it was fascinating to hear more from Dr Ceri Morris (Lecturer in Educational Development) about how we can all make our meetings more inclusive. All those who attended said how practical and useful the tips were in terms of generation a grass roots movement to make sure everyone feels they belong at the university and ensuring multiple voices are welcome and heard. I think it really matches well with the new EDI strategy of the University that talks about ‘Cynefin’ (pronounced kuh-nev-in) as a strand of work. Cynefin doesn’t have a direct english translation but means a sense of feeling like you belong.
