MRI scan
22 March 2018
This painting inspired by my MRI scans, that my urologist provided. So I thought that’s what I’m going to do, I’m going to try and paint and then this came along and it really inspired me to carry on painting. The scan is my internal landscape. It’s important to me to know what’s going on in my body and because I’m a very visual person to have a scan, to actually see the cancer made a big difference. I’m not sure why but it makes you more comfortable about what’s happening. If a consultant shows you that and explains everything it puts your mind at rest to a certain extent. I mean you’ve obviously still got cancer so that’s pretty bad but to know what’s going on and to see, actually see what’s going on in your body, to me is really important.
