About CaLL

Language and Law / Forensic Linguistics have the subject of study and research at Cardiff since Autumn 1999 and, subsequently the establishment of the Cardiff MA in Forensic Linguistics in 2002.

We now have a team of staff who are internationally renowned for their work in a range of aspects of forensic linguistics. We have particular specialisms in legal processes and practices in such settings as police stations and courtrooms and we provide training, research and insight to legal practitioners as well as expert evidence in cases.

We have enjoyed working with many PhD students here and continue to support a lively doctoral community.
