About
We are a dedicated interdisciplinary research centre focusing on reducing anxiety and depression in young people.
Established in 2020 and funded by the Wolfson Foundation, the Wolfson Centre is working to better understand adolescent mental health, with its experts in developmental and clinical psychiatry, genetics, social sciences, and neuroscience.
Our vision is to make a step-change in scientific discovery that has rapid benefits for young people’s mental health via the implementation of effective intervention and policy.
All our scientific findings are developed in partnership with young people, practitioners and policymakers and the information generated will be used to shape public health and school policies with the aim of helping promote better mental health in young people.
Our experts will work in partnership with Swansea University, Welsh Government, NHS, and schools across Wales.
The Centre is jointly led by Professor Frances Rice and Professor Stephan Collishaw.
