Support for Open Research Data at Cardiff
17 December 2013A new set of web pages have been launched to help and support researchers within Cardiff University focusing on the topic of open research data.
The government has made a clear commitment to open research data as part of its transparency agenda and the EPSRC will require fundholders to make their research data available to others from 2015. Other research councils may also follow the lead of the EPSRC.
The Research Data web pages are part of the Information Services for Researchers website – they are focused around the 4 key themes:
- Preparing a proposal for research funding
- Completing your data management plan
- Managing research data effectively during your project
- Sharing your data and using the data of others
Under each theme researchers will be directed to guidance, FAQs, frameworks, policies, training and online tools from Cardiff University, UK research funders and external bodies.
You can also find a list of Key Contacts on these web pages – staff at Cardiff University who can assist researchers with any queries they may have about open research data.
