Success at the Celebrating Excellence Awards 2014

Congratulations to the ORCA and Open Access team from the University Library Service and IT who won an award at this year’s Celebrating Excellence Awards.

The Celebrating Excellence Awards are an opportunity to recognise staff who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to the University and acknowledge team and collaborative achievements.

The ORCA and Open Access team won the award for Excellence in Research (including Research Support).

The team have been working hard to support University researchers in improving open access to research publications and maximising the impact of their research. Throughout the year the team have run 44 workshops and developed an open access website with extensive guidance materials including subject specific guides and time-saving downloadable forms.
