New for 2013/14 in the Bute and Architecture Libraries
17 September 2013We have upgraded and updated for the 2013/14 academic year here in the Bute & Architecture libraries. After listening to your feedback we have made a number of improvements over the summer in the library, these include:
Newly refurbished study areas
The study area below the Architecture mezzanine level, outside our main IT room (1.57) has been refurbished. You’ll now find new comfortable seating, desks and individual power points!
There is now also a larger area of desks and seating for individual study in the Planning & Geography Journals room in the north corridor.
New IT equipment
Our smaller IT room (IT Training Room 1.07) in the south corridor has now been refitted with 13 brand new widescreen desktop PCs. Our IT room in the Glamorgan Building now also contains 30 new PCs.
Group Study Rooms
Group Study Room 4 in the Architecture Library now has a large display screen for use with laptops or the desktop PC provided, following the popularity of the screens in rooms 1 & 2. All four group study rooms can be booked at the main staff desks, for a maximum of 2 hours and a minimum of 2 people.
Quiet Study Rooms
We have created a new area for quiet individual study above Group Study Room 2 (see the map).
