Václav Havel dialogues 2023
25 September 2023The first Central and East European event for the new academic year is coming up on 10 October 2023. The event is organised by the Czech Embassy in London and the Centre of Law and Society in Cardiff in collaboration with the Central and East European Research Centre.
Named after the former Czech president, the Václav Havel dialogues 2023 is a unique opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions that focus on the issues of peace, democracy, environmental justice, and the crisis of our civilisation. The dialogue starts in Cardiff, moves to Oxford, and ends in London. The theme this year is ‘Peace and Democracy in Crisis’.
The Cardiff portion of the Dialogues will be held from 2-5:30 pm on 10 October at the Temple of Peace. There will be a topical discussion on the ongoing war in Ukraine with a range of speakers, including Professor Sergey Radchenko and the former Slovak Prime Minister Iveta Radičová.
