Cardiff University School of Physics and Astronomy 2024 Graduation

1 August 2024

Last Wednesday was the graduation of our class of 2024 here at the School of Physics and Astronomy. We are very proud of all of our graduates and were able to catch up with a few of them during their calibrations following the graduation ceremony.

One Physics graduate, Nils, wishes to pursue a career in EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) and STEM and was asked how he found his time at Cardiff.

He responded with; “my time at Cardiff has been amazing, it’s fantastic!”

Another graduate, Jem, was asked the same question and said; “It’s been amazing, I can’t believe four years has flown by as quickly as it has but I’ve really enjoyed it.”

Jem is going into teaching and will be teaching physics at a school in Gilford.

Physics graduate Artie, said that their time at Cardiff has been “absolutely fantastic!” and was “really, really brilliant. Everybody is lovely here.”

They hope to have a career in data analytics, as they have learnt a lot about analysing data from their physics degree where they analysed data from all sorts of things such as Haribo’s.

This feedback is amazing to hear and demonstrates the large variety of careers that are available to a physics graduate, we wish all of our 2024 physics graduates the best of luck in the future.
