Sian manages the Clinical Skills Centre, on the 3rd Floor Cochrane Building, having joined Cardiff Medical School in March 2009. Her background in District and Palliative Care Nursing provides an interesting interdisciplinary element to teaching.

Sian is enthusiastic about the development of Clinical Skills, and is committed to the small group practical sessions that work well in the skills centre environment. Recently leading an overseas collaboration with a School of Medicine in Iraqi Kurdistan,

Sian is pleased to have witnessed the opening of a new Clinical Skills Facility in Hawler Medical University. The team collaboration has brought new understanding of patient care a part of the world that has witnessed particularly traumatic times. Sian is passionate about Life Long Learning, and is currently studying for an MSc in Medical Education.

Her goals for the coming years include the continued development and evaluation of teaching within the Skills Centre, and further production of e-learning resources.

Hobbies include mountain walking, keeping fit and trekking in far flung places!
