The utility and impact of our research will ultimately be exemplified through its application in the total synthesis of natural products and molecules of biological significance.<\/p>\n<p><img organic electrochemistry<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/themorrillgroup\/2017\/10\/12\/frustrated-lewis-pair-catalysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Main group catalysis<\/span><\/a> (in collaboration with <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.melengroup.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr Rebecca Melen<\/a><\/span>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/themorrillgroup\/2017\/04\/30\/exploring-new-synthetic-routes-towards-cyanamides\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cyanamide chemistry<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>(in collaboration with <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.syngenta.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Syngenta<\/span><\/a><\/span>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">These projects\u00a0will serve as an excellent platform for talented and highly motivated students to receive a first-class training in synthetic organic chemistry that will thoroughly prepare them for a future career in the chemical industry or in academia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We are also actively engaged in a
