Funding & International Collaboration

Cardiff University International Collaboration Seedcorn funding secured to establish global university connections (value £8360). Includes international student placement to Griffith University  (Australia), University of Waikato (New Zealand), Centre for Surf Research, San Diego State University (U.S.A), University of Hawaii (U.S.A), aiming to

• conduct “a range of research on how best to understand the motivations, meanings, and politics surrounding the surf zone and its cultures”. (Anderson 2016)
• Develop an international surfing spaces research network
• Produce 4 x journal articles
