Tirion Jenkins
PhD Student (2020 – 2024)

Tirion is interested in winter surfing and its potential to build mental health resilience, through the immersive and mindful experience of (cold-water) surfing. Her research will be focused on the case study of surfers around South Wales and this blog will document her associated musings and trials during her PhD. Tirion is supervised by Professor Jon Anderson and Dr Julian Brigstocke. This research is funded by the ESRC.

Lyndsey Stoodley
PhD Student (2016 – 2020)

Lyndsey was supervised by Professor Jon Anderson and Dr Julian Brigstocke. Her research, funded by the ESRC, explores environmentalism in surfing, with a focus on World Surfing Reserves.
