I joined my colleagues Dr Aled Davies, Dr Nia Owen and 21 ACE graduating students in a study tour to China between 15 and 30 June 2025. The students visited a number of cities in China, including Shanghai, Dongtai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Yicheng, Dalian, and Beijing. We have seen some large civil engineering projects in China: the Shanghai Tower, the Three Gorges Dam, Marine parks, Wetland restoration projects, Dalian Bay Link Bridge, Daxing International Airport, as well as the culture sites such as the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace and indigenous village. It was a great and successful tour that the students thoroughly enjoyed.
