Did you know there is a new Research Integrity & Governance Code of Practice?

As well as being a useful account of the university’s position on the conduct of research, this is essential for funding applications, which will often ask you to demonstrate awareness of this.

It has been sent to you as another one of those emails to all staff, but I know that these often vanish without trace.

It focuses more on general expectations with regard to good practice in research.

I can’t promise a scintillating read, but there are useful moments (and much of it relates to clinical research, which is not really relevant).

I know we mostly work with the things that dead people left behind, but all scientific activity requires consideration of the appropriate professional standards.
