This Cardiff University research project is gathering information on experiences of disability and vulnerability in charity shops through a 20-minute anonymous online survey<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n What is the survey about?<\/b><\/p>\n The survey asks about your experiences and views on accessibility, disability and vulnerability in your time in charity shops.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n We ask about formal policies as well as informal adjustments made to support the access of charity shop staff, whether voluntary or paid, and customers. We ask for examples of successful accessibility changes, and about any challenges you and others may have encountered around disability, vulnerability, and access.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n What is the purpose of the research, and how will you use it?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n The survey is part of a wider project to advance equity and sustainability in second-hand spaces, both on the ground in charity retail, scrap stores and repair caf\u00e9s, and through sharing research and creating policy change.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n We will use what we learn from the survey to create free, online toolkits, which we will share.\u00a0 Find out more about our existing toolkits exploring waste and reuse, repair, community welfare, and labour in second-hand here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The survey is funded by an ESRC Impact Accelerator Award at Cardiff University.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n How will you protect anonymity?<\/b><\/p>\n The survey is anonymous. It doesn\u2019t ask respondents to name specific charity retail organisations. Any named charity retailers or other identifying information will be redacted from toolkits or other publications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n We welcome responses from anyone who works in charity shops, including volunteers.
