The show&#8217;s main presenter is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhysphillips.co.uk\/\">Rhys Phillips<\/a>, a research engineer and musician who graduated from the School of Physics and Astronomy in 2008, but once a month he hands the microphone to me to discuss what&#8217;s been occurring in the world of astronomy.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This month I talk to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astro.cf.ac.uk\/contactsandpeople\/?page=full&amp;id=150\">Edward Gomez<\/a> about a (not so) near miss by an asteroid, and an new insight into the inner workings of a supernova &#8211; the final explosion at the end of a massive star&#8217;s life. With <a href=\"http:\/\/www.astronomyweek.org.uk\">National Astronomy Week<\/a> almost upon us, I spoke to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ras.org.uk\/\">Royal Astronomical Society<\/a>&#8216;s Robert Massey about what&#8217;s in store, and to our resident amateur observer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astro.cf.ac.uk\/contactsandpeople\/?page=full&amp;id=222\">Hugh Lang<\/a> about what to expect in Cardiff and around Wales.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s available here is an <em>extended<\/em>\u00a0version of the astronomy section of the show.
