Please subscribe to our <a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"http:\/\/eepurl.com\/cR4Z-D\">physics teacher mailing list<\/a> to get announcements.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s time for the 2023 Cardiff University Physics Summer School !<\/p>\n<p>This extremely popular 3-day non-residential programme is aimed at AS students who are considering pursuing a physics degree.<\/p>\n<p>This free event will take place on Monday 19 \u2013 Wednesday 21 June 2023, from 10:00-16:30 at Cardiff University School of Physics and Astronomy. \u00a0A more detailed programme will be released closer to the time, but will include talks, lectures and workshops delivered by staff and students from the School of Physics and Astronomy.<\/p>\n<p>Lectures and workshops will be targeted at AS level (Year 12) students and provide an insight into Physics beyond A-level, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gravitational Waves<\/li>\n<li>Astronomy and Cosmology<\/li>\n<li>Medical Physics<\/li>\n<li>Nanophysics<\/li>\n<li>Lasers<\/li>\n<li>Semiconductor technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Friday 19 May 2023. In the case of over subscription places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Testimonials and Evaluation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really enjoyed the friendly environment and the balance of the talks and workshops\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Over 2\/3 of participants reported being more likely to study physics at University&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Gweithdy Haf UG Ffiseg Caerdydd 2023<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Bydd Progamme Haf UG 2024 yn cael ei gynnal dros dro rhwng 17 a 19 Mehefin. Tanysgrifiwch i&#8217;n <a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"http:\/\/eepurl.com\/cR4Z-D\">rhestr bostio athrawon ffiseg<\/a> i gael cyhoeddiadau.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Mae&#8217;r rhaglen amhreswyl hynod boblogaidd hwn yn cael ei gynnal dros dri diwrnod, ac mae ar gyfer myfyrwyr UG sy\u2019n ystyried gyrfa ym maes ffiseg.<\/p>\n<p>Bydd y gweithdy rhad ac am ddim hwn yn cael ei gynnal o 10:00 tan 16:30 ddydd Llun, 19 Mehefin tan ddydd Mercher, 21 Mehefin 2023, a hynny yn Ysgol Ffiseg a Seryddiaeth Prifysgol Caerdydd. Bydd rhaglen fwy manwl yn cael ei chyhoeddi\u2019n agosach at yr amser, ond bydd yn cynnwys cyflwyniadau, darlithoedd a gweithdai gan staff a myfyrwyr o\u2019r Ysgol Ffiseg a Seryddiaeth.<\/p>\n<p>Cynulleidfa darged y darlithoedd a\u2019r gweithdai fydd disgyblion Safon UG (blwyddyn 12).
