The project focuses on four core tasks: co-ordinating an\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.714285714;font-size: 1rem\" href=\"http:\/\/unawe.org\/network\/\">international network<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714;font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0of astronomers, educators and communicators; teacher training; creating astronomy education<\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.714285714;font-size: 1rem\" href=\"http:\/\/unawe.org\/resources\/\">resources<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714;font-size: 1rem\">; and\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.714285714;font-size: 1rem\" href=\"http:\/\/unawe.org\/about\/evaluation\/\">evaluation<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714;font-size: 1rem\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/physicsoutreach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/236\/2014\/01\/LCOGT_logo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-351\" alt=\"LCOGT_logo\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/physicsoutreach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/236\/2014\/01\/LCOGT_logo-300x143.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/physicsoutreach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/236\/2014\/01\/LCOGT_logo-300x143.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/physicsoutreach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/236\/2014\/01\/LCOGT_logo-624x298.png 624w, https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/physicsoutreach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/236\/2014\/01\/LCOGT_logo.png 710w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/\">Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network<\/a>\u00a0(LCOGT) is an integrated set of robotic telescopes, distributed around the world. The network is available for use by both professional and citizen science, including telescope time for schools and a range of educational and citizen-science projects.<\/p>\n<p>The telescope network currently includes two\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/observatory\/2m\">2-meter telescopes<\/a>, sited in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/site\/haleakala\">Hawaii<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/site\/siding-spring\">eastern Australia<\/a>, and nine\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/observatory\/1m\">1-meter telescopes<\/a>, sited in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/site\/cerro-tololo\">Chile<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/site\/sutherland\">South Africa<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/site\/siding-spring\">eastern Australia<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lcogt.net\/site\/fort-davis\">Texas<\/a>.
