<\/a>Universe Awareness\u00a0(UNAWE) is an international astronomy education project that aims to use the awe-inspiring Universe to capture the imagination of young children aged between 4 and 11 years, and create a stepping-stone to introduce them to science and technology at the most important time in their development and education. The project focuses on four core tasks: co-ordinating an\u00a0<\/span>international network<\/a>\u00a0of astronomers, educators and communicators; teacher training; creating astronomy education<\/span>resources<\/a>; and\u00a0<\/span>evaluation<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network<\/h2>\n
The telescope network currently includes two\u00a02-meter telescopes<\/a>, sited in\u00a0Hawaii<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0eastern Australia<\/a>, and nine\u00a01-meter telescopes<\/a>, sited in\u00a0Chile<\/a>,\u00a0South Africa<\/a>,\u00a0eastern Australia<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Texas<\/a>. The telescopes are all\u00a0instrumented<\/a>\u00a0with optical imagers, and the 2-meter telescopes also have\u00a0low-dispersion optical spectrographs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/a>
\nLas Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network<\/a>\u00a0(LCOGT) is an integrated set of robotic telescopes, distributed around the world. The network is available for use by both professional and citizen science, including telescope time for schools and a range of educational and citizen-science projects.<\/p>\nSupport<\/h2>\n
