Our Open Access Publications Policy, which was first approved by UEB in October 2014, has been updated.\u00a0The changes are mostly for clarification purposes and reflect updated processes used to deposit the papers in the University repository.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The revised version clearly indicates that the University <strong>requires<\/strong> (instead of \u201cstrongly encourages\u201d) the deposit of the full text of all Cardiff University\u2019s journal articles and conference proceedings papers into ORCA, regardless of whether they are Green or Gold Open Access.<\/li>\n<li>It also places an onus on academic staff to check the accuracy of their publications in the Research Portal, and strongly recommends the adoption of ORCID researcher IDs.<\/li>\n<li>The revised policy is in use from 1 November 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can find the full policy on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/public-information\/policies-and-procedures\/open-access-publications-policy\">Cardiff University website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-382\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/openaccess\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/552\/2017\/11\/publications-policy.jpg\" alt=\"Publications Policy\" width=\"712\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/openaccess\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/552\/2017\/11\/publications-policy.jpg 712w, https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/openaccess\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/552\/2017\/11\/publications-policy-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/openaccess\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/552\/2017\/11\/publications-policy-70x40.jpg 70w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 712px) 100vw, 712px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Cardiff University is an Open Access University.
