As the year draws to a close, we\u2019re taking a moment to look back at an incredible 2025 at Cardiff Medicentre. From welcoming new innovators to celebrating the successes of long-standing tenants, it\u2019s been a year defined by collaboration, progress, and a growing life sciences community.<\/p>\n
This year, we were proud to welcome five new tenants (and counting!) into the Medicentre community. From groundbreaking work on volatile organic compounds to cell therapy innovation and beyond, new companies help to bring fresh ideas and exciting potential to the Heath Park campus.<\/p>\n
Each new arrival strengthens the network of entrepreneurs, researchers and clinicians who call Medicentre home, and we can\u2019t wait to see what they achieve next.<\/p>\n
In 2025, we co-sponsored Welsh participants on the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, helping support the next generation of healthcare innovators to bring their ideas to life. This reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing talent and connecting the Welsh life sciences ecosystem to UK-wide opportunities.<\/p>\n
Our community has come together for a series of fantastic events this year. From CUIN Digital Health and Wales to MediWales and the Hartree \u201cDemystifying AI\u201d event, we\u2019ve been proud to host and support conversations that push innovation forward in medtech and healthcare.<\/p>\n
Beyond innovation-focused sessions, we\u2019ve also enjoyed events that bring our community together for important causes \u2014 including a Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraiser and an LGBTQ+ Inclusivity in the Workplace session aimed at promoting understanding and equality across the sector.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been fantastic to see so many of our tenants come together, engage, and support such meaningful causes. The level of participation and enthusiasm truly reflects the strength of our community.\u201d \u00a0<\/em>Sammy, Centre Supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n This year we refreshed our website, grew our LinkedIn presence, and launched this blog, sharing the stories of the people and companies shaping healthcare innovation in Wales.<\/p>\n Across our online media, we\u2019ve spotlighted tenant achievements, shared event highlights, and given a platform to the innovators working across the Medicentre community.<\/p>\n And there\u2019s been plenty to celebrate:<\/p>\n There are many great companies operating out of Medicentre and this is only a small selection of the brilliant work that has been going on here. These achievements, and those of all our tenants, reflect the energy and ambition of those working here and the impact they\u2019re making across Wales and beyond.<\/p>\n 2025 has been a year of growth and momentum for Cardiff Medicentre, and it wouldn\u2019t have been possible without the brilliant innovators, researchers, clinicians and partners who make up our community.<\/p>\n As we look to 2026, we\u2019re excited to build on this: welcoming more trailblazers, supporting their journeys, and continuing to grow as a hub for healthcare, medtech and bioscience innovation.<\/p>\n In the meantime, we want to wish our brilliant community of innovators, partners and supporters a happy holiday season full of rest, inspiration and joy \u2013 ready to start back up for another exciting year of innovation in 2026\ud83c\udf84\u2728<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As the year draws to a close, we\u2019re taking a moment to look back at an incredible 2025 at Cardiff Medicentre.
