Last month in May, Cardiff Medicentre proudly hosted the 2025 Digital Health in Wales event, bringing together leaders from across academia and the healthcare industry to explore the transformative power of digital technologies in improving health and wellbeing across the Wales and beyond.

Organised in collaboration with the Cardiff University Innovation Network (CUIN) and the Digital Transformation Innovation Institute, the event served as a hub for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and showcasing real-world examples of digital innovation in action.

The day was packed with engaging keynote talks, dynamic panel discussions, and lively networking opportunities. Attendees heard from an impressive line-up of speakers including representatives from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Digital Health and Care Wales, and the SBRI Centre of Excellence, among others.

Topics on the day included the power of apps and wearable devices to empower patients, the role of data in responding to pandemics, and how AI and digital diagnostics are reshaping the delivery of care in both hospital and community settings.

Throughout the event, one clear message emerged: Wales is not only embracing digital transformation – it is actively using it to shape the future of healthcare. As a centre for innovation and collaboration, Cardiff Medicentre was proud to host such a meaningful event. We look forward to continuing to support Wales’s digital health journey and to welcoming future events that bring together great minds, bold ideas, and technologies that improve lives.
