The award was presented during their annual Black History Month celebration in the Senedd.<\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Professor Uzo Iwobi CBE FLSW FRSA, Founder &amp; CEO Race Council Cymru said: <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\u201cI was delighted to nominate Professor Cheung for a Black History and Race Council Cymru Community Award for her contributions to Race, Equality, Inclusion and Research. Professor Cheung&#8217;s work on racial inclusion issues have been inspirational. We hope that her work will empower the future generations. She is trained as a quantitative sociologist and her research addresses different forms of social inequalities in contemporary societies. She was a full member of the national assessment panel (Social Work and Social Policy sub-panel) in the UK Research Innovation \u2013 Research Excellence Framework 2021 and the Research Centres Grant Competition of the Economic and Social Research Council.
