LinC-C

Linguistics in Cardiff & China

卡迪夫语言学通讯

At Cardiff University, we have an active research programme that welcomes applications for research visits and in particular the LinC research network has maintained a long history of hosting visitors from China, most of whom are working within the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics.  Professor黄国文 Huang Guowen completed his PhD here under the supervision of Professor Robin Fawcett.  Professor 张德禄 Zhang Delu, Professor 何伟 He Wei, Professor 苗兴伟 Miao Xingwei and many others have come to Cardiff as visiting scholars.  I have set up this page to offer some information to Chinese scholars who wish to visit us in Cardiff on a research visit.  If you are interesting in studying with us, please see below.

We have a WeChat group for visitors to Cardiff.  This is a useful network for people who want some help with moving to Cardiff and also for people who have been to Cardiff to stay in contact with us.  If you would like to join our WeChat group please email me: FontaineL@cf.ac.uk.

We have regular seminars where visiting scholars can present their research or take part in discussions about research going on at Cardiff University.  Often during the year we host workshops, symposia, summer schools and other events.
