The Initiative for a Repository of SFL Resources (short: IRSFL) was founded in 2008 with the goal of setting up a set of digital resources that can be shared by the SFL community, both as providers and as consumers. The initiative reacts to a number of identified needs in the community, including the need for more collective work, enabling members of the SFL community to go beyond individual or small-group efforts, and the need to reconcile the value of manual small-scale text analysis and automated large-scale corpus analysis.
The Repository of SFL Resources (RSFL) will be hosted by the Halliday Centre at City University of Hong Kong.
