Lise

I am originally from Canada and I completed my undergraduate training in Linguistics at York University in Toronto. I joined the Centre for Language and Communication Research (CLCR) in 2004. Prior to moving to Cardiff, I lived in France and worked at the Université Paris-Dauphine, in Paris and the British Institute in Paris. Teaching and Administrative responsibilities I teach modules in grammar and word use and meaning. Functions of Grammar is taught to second students with a focus is on systemic functional grammar. Words and Meaning is a second year module which concentrates on developing students' understanding of words; we explore lexical semantics and relations. Language and the Mind is an introductory module to psycholinguistics. I am the deputy to the director of studies responsible for years 2 and 3 and also e-learning champion.
