{"id":85,"date":"2011-12-20T16:10:51","date_gmt":"2011-12-20T16:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cf.ac.uk\/library\/westlaws-new-jurisdictional-view\/"},"modified":"2022-04-13T09:31:32","modified_gmt":"2022-04-13T08:31:32","slug":"westlaws-new-jurisdictional-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/library\/westlaws-new-jurisdictional-view\/","title":{"rendered":"Westlaw&#8217;s new Jurisdictional View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cf.ac.uk\/insrv\/eresources\/databases\/westlaw.html\">Westlaw UK<\/a> has reorgansied it Legislation database by the addition of a &#8216;Jurisdictional View&#8217; feature which means that the Browse section of the Legislation database is now arranged by jurisdiction &#8211; UK, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (fully consolidated Northern Irish legislation has been added to Westlaw UK) and then broken down into the type of legislation available in those jurisdictions.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, when looking at a piece of legislation, where a provision varies between jurisdictions in the UK, an information message is displayed at the top of the provision\/document indicating the presence of different versions for different jurisdictions. The parrallel provisions are seperated on the page by tabs labelling each accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>Where there is a\u00a0difference in a provision between jurisdictions status icons will indicate a difference in law between jurisdictions.
