{"id":712,"date":"2013-06-25T10:36:14","date_gmt":"2013-06-25T09:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cf.ac.uk\/library\/?p=712"},"modified":"2022-04-13T09:31:31","modified_gmt":"2022-04-13T08:31:31","slug":"insrv-news-for-researchers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/library\/insrv-news-for-researchers\/","title":{"rendered":"Free access to additional resources on the Web of Knowledge Service until August 31"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thomson Reuters is currently offering the University free access to all the resources on the Web of Knowledge Service until August 31, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to our normal subscriptions we now have access to the:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Book Citation Index<\/strong><br \/>\nIndexes nearly 50,000 books and 1 million chapters from over 100 publishers linked to related journal articles and proceedings indexed within the Web of Knowledge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Data Citation Index<\/strong><br \/>\nComprehensive research data from international data repositories<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current Chemical Reactions and Index Chemicus<\/strong><br \/>\nCover overs 100 of the world\u2019s leading chemistry journals to provide complete reaction diagrams, critical conditions, bibliographic data, and author abstracts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current Contents Connect<\/strong><br \/>\nBibliographic and table of contents information from world-leading scholarly journals and books from 1998<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chinese Science Citation Database<\/strong><br \/>\nBibliographic and citations information from 1200 core science and engineering journals published in the People\u2019s Republic of China<\/li>\n<li><strong>Derwent Innovations Index<\/strong><br \/>\nPatent (1963+) and patent citation (1973+) information in chemical, electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zoological Record<\/strong><br \/>\nThe world\u2019s leading taxonomic reference and oldest continuing database of animal biology (from 1864)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can access these additional resources by going to the Cardiff Portal and choosing \u2018Library\u2019 in the menu. The \u2018Databases (A-Z and MetaLib)\u2019 list includes a link to the Web of Knowledge Service. Once you have accessed the Web of Knowledge Service, click on the \u2018Select a Database\u2019 tab near the top of the screen to see a list of the additional resources.
