This week saw six English Literature lecturers gather in a secret basement room (well, Special Collections and Archives (SCOLAR) in the Arts and Social Studies Building), and indulge in some verbal sparring with an audience of over 60 bookthirsty staff and students.
Each of the academics was there to defend their chosen Eighteenth Century write, from Austen to Wordsworth.
