VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR A HEALTHY IMMUNE-AGEING STUDY

We enjoyed our day yesterday at the National Eisteddfod 2024 talking to visitors about the IRFLUVA study which starts in September. We were delighted to share our news about the food supplement we will be using in the study and provide people with more information about the study and discussions about the huge impact flu has on older people in the UK. Big thanks to those who have expressed an interest in volunteering to take part in the study. The study involves having a normal flu vaccine and then taking a placebo or food supplement for several weeks. The study runs for 9 months, but has only 4 appointments with a doctor over this time. Volunteers have appointments with a doctor, a blood pressure and vital signs check, a normal flu vaccine and blood tests. Results are made known to people taking part at the end of the study. Expenses of £120 per person are available.
