When you move to a university, you don’t only choose that university, but you choose to spend at least 3 years in the city where that university is based. This is a major part of what will make or break your university experience. Luckily, Cardiff has a lot of things that draw people to move here but, most prominently, the friendliness of the people that live here. In fact, Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveller has gone so far as to name Cardiff as the friendliest city in the UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n Make your money stretch in one of the most affordable cities in the UK<\/strong><\/p>\n Cardiff is repeatedly recorded as one of the cheapest cities in the UK<\/a>. For instance, the average yearly cost of living in Cardiff for domestic undergraduate students is \u00a310,809.65<\/a>, compared to London<\/a>, where that is the approximate accommodation cost. There is also great cost of living support by the university and student union<\/a>, with great financial resources and housing support. Cardiff University also offers\u00a0accommodation options for every need and budget<\/a>.<\/p>\n Great support services and modern study spaces at\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Based at the Centre for Student Life, there is a wide variety of support services<\/a> that you can access as a Cardiff University Student. Including, but not limited to, counselling, careers and support for those with learning difficulties such as dyslexia. There is a wealth of support for students to begin building their careers<\/a> too. Furthermore, Cardiff University is home to a wide variety of great libraries, you can see my favourites here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Great Global Opportunities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n With partners around the world, Cardiff champions creating study-abroad opportunities for its students. With the Senedd<\/a> in Cardiff Bay, you have the opportunity to learn all about Welsh history and devolution from the UK with the evolution of the Welsh Government.
