As a capital city, there is always a lot to see in Cardiff. With many venues around, there is something for everyone. Cardiff is a very lively city and a fantastic place to live when it comes to entertainment. You will find everything from musicals, concerts, comedy shows, sporting events, and many more.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the most frequented venues in Cardiff:<\/p>\n

Principality Stadium<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Cardiff\u2019s main stadium<\/a> is known for its big rugby games, as well as other sporting events. During this time, the city comes to life, and people from all over the UK and other countries come to support their favourite team.<\/p>\n

Principality Stadium is also the place where big artists like Beyonc\u00e9, Harry Styles, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran hold their concerts in Cardiff. The atmosphere is incredible, not just because of the artist\u2019s performance but also because of all the other people around.<\/p>\n

Students\u2019 Union<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One of the many reasons why Cardiff\u2019s Students\u2019 Union<\/a> is the second best in the UK is because of its events. Throughout the year, there are plenty of live gigs<\/a> happening almost every month.<\/p>\n

Besides this, the Students\u2019 Union also holds club nights<\/a> on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as different showcases and cultural events during term time.<\/p>\n

Another great place for concerts is Cardiff International Arena<\/a>. Singers such as Lewis Capaldi and Tom Grennan and bands like Little Mix and JLS have performed here in the past. Located in the beautiful Cardiff Bay<\/a>, the venue holds well-known musicals<\/a> and performances, along with free community events people can take part in. It is a great place to enjoy shows from talented performers and see your favourite musicals live.<\/p>\n

St David\u2019s Hall<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Here<\/a> you can find various events<\/a>, from comedy to music and even masterclasses. A great event I went to was a TEDx<\/a> organised in February 2023. It brought on stage inspirational speakers and musicians and turned out to be insightful and enjoyable. I loved that although I went in not knowing who would speak, I saw amazing people and learnt something new from every speaker.<\/p>\n

New Theatre Cardiff <\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the New Theatre<\/a>, you can find a very diverse range of events. Similar to other venues, they have live music, comedy shows and musicals but also plays for those who love going to the theatre. The modern twist of these plays makes going to the theatre even more exciting.<\/p>\n

Tramshed <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Although fewer people know about this venue<\/a>, it is a very inviting place. Most performances here are from smaller bands and artists, but this is also what makes it good. Concerts feel like a closely tied community that comes together to have fun and enjoy their evening.<\/p>\n
