Cosy up with these top tips to help you enjoy university life during the cold winter months.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dress up! The cosy winter aesthetic is so fun and easy to replicate. You can add your own spark to your personal style and experiment with what makes you feel most confident. This is a great excuse for a fun shopping day at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/HXxFwa8pf7SwkTpJA\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">St David&#8217;s<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and making use of your student discount, or, try something new and try the charity shops on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/Ugh4MRztp9JVdEXx6\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Albany Road<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Do a coffee (or various hot drink) run to a caf\u00e9 slightly further away from your accommodation, listen to music and enjoy your winter walk and the crisp air.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Try something new. You could get a taste for natural wine at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/2coi9D1J1dMTEhuw9\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sibling<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, or, try craft beer at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/XtXs1j2or1zrLmKx6\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Paradise Garden<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, on City Road, with some live music.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Get outside and appreciate moments of the sun. Seeing the sun in Cardiff in winter can be rare, so it\u2019s important to appreciate those moments, and take time to go for a walk in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/cGhnmYAwXa9p5qPR7\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bute Park<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or around <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/1x2TkwmqVnMBj5D97\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Roath Park Lake<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Go to the beach (but wrap up warm). Have a coffee while admiring the view from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/cdXFhANhmMxp57nG8\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Penarth pier<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Try journaling to write about the moment around you. This can help you appreciate where you are right now while leaving a memento for post-university you to look back on.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Be intentional, for example, make a plan to watch a film with friends and snacks instead of binge-watching the entire season 5 of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Crown<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in bed one night. This makes it more of an intentional, fun experience, rather than passively watching shows for hours (though I am guilty of this too).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Remember your \u201cwhy\u201d, is it to be a renowned journalist, like Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">? What made you want to come to university in the first place? What makes you stay? Knowing this can help you be more intentional when engaging with your degree.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Take care of yourself. For example, cook a new recipe with music and wine or develop a skincare routine to prevent dryness from the cold, winter air.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are so many things that you can do to romanticise university during winter time.
