Whilst on placement, sometimes I have had university related work and placement related work to do. I have found time management a really good technique to use to enable me to complete university and placement work, socialise and relax.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To time manage whilst on placement I make a weekly timetable (electronically or on paper).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This allows me to make sure I:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Get up on time to get ready and eat my breakfast before attending placement<\/li><li>Leave the house on time to ensure I get to placement on time<\/li><li>Plan when to do my placement work and university work&nbsp;<\/li><li>Do social activities like tap dancing and meeting my friends<\/li><li>Do my food shop for the week<\/li><li>Do my washing for the week &#8211; there may be more washes that need doing whilst on placement&nbsp;<\/li><li>Cook my dinner &#8211; I like to cook all my food on a Sunday and freeze meals so I don\u2019t have to cook on a weekday&nbsp;<\/li><li>Go to bed at a reasonable time &#8211; placement is tiring so I find I need to go to bed at a reasonable time to make sure I am able to make the most of the next day on placement&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Weekday timetable&nbsp;<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"661\" height=\"711\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/insiders\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/523\/2020\/03\/Weekly-timetable.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/insiders\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/523\/2020\/03\/Weekly-timetable.png 661w, https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/insiders\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/523\/2020\/03\/Weekly-timetable-279x300.png 279w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Weekend timetable<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"760\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/insiders\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/523\/2020\/03\/Weekend-timetable.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10736\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/insiders\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/523\/2020\/03\/Weekend-timetable.png 760w, https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/insiders\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/523\/2020\/03\/Weekend-timetable-300x184.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Above is an example of what my \u2018typical\u2019 weekday and weekend timetable may look like. To manage my time I also meal plan for the week and make a shopping list. From my experience, if I don\u2019t make a shopping list I spend longer in the supermarket and this then uses up my time. Wilko\u2019s have lots of meal planners, weekly planners, shopping lists and to do list pads. I complete a to do list every week to make sure I get everything done in a timely manner. From my student experience, I have enjoyed shopping in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilko.com\/en-uk\/stationery-craft\/notebooks-pads-organisers\/c\/950\">Notepads, Pads and Organisers section at Wilko\u2019s<\/a>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/OQhQ2KynaxKybMXbxF4Y2BbvEKNgiH-Hy0u3Yuk1CPGua2b2JcBC0QsSKLEPgX8EMj5O9RU8y5hX15Q5UNKXWat1QA7paVtqt37P6klVMJH9h_adN955nAz4xTiR7hK3jyJDyGzS\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp; Weekly Planner Pad&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enable me to time manage my time appropriately, I make sure I am organised. Being organised, allows me to not waste time throughout my week. I have lots of plastic wallets and folders which I sort my university work into different sections so this way it is easy for me to locate work. WHSmith have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whsmith.co.uk\/stationery\/files-folios-and-wallets\/document-wallets\/sta00224\">document and wallets<\/a> section online. In addition to this, WHSmith also have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whsmith.co.uk\/stationery\/filing-and-folders\/sta00215\/\">filing and folders<\/a> section. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From my experience, my bedrooms at university have had limited space, I have used desk tidies to put my folders and plastic wallets into.
