Going out, Living away from home, Only in Cardiff, Settling in

Video Blog – Toby talks Freshers

The Freshers period is often anticipated to be either one of the most exciting parts of coming to University or one of the worst, and it’s no surprise given its reputation. “Eat sleep rave repeat” becomes less of a Fatboy Slim lyric and more of a way of life, so here I’ve tried to provide a taste of what the two weeks involve, whether it lives up to its billing, and how you’re going to get through it – regardless of who you are or where you’re from.

To put your minds at rest early – it’s an incredible two weeks. Although it can feel like you’ve been thrown in at the deep end, everyone is in exactly the same situation and this creates an immediate bond between every fresher that makes some of the nights out you’ll have the most unique of your life.

Why not take a watch?

I’ll be back next month with another (I’m thrilled to be working for the BBC for the rest of June!) but if you’ve got any burning questions or concerns in the meantime then as always, feel free to drop me a line.

Catch you after!

Toby
